Qubitrium participated in the conference titled “The Quantum Revolution: From Theory to Technology” organized by the Chamber of Physics Engineers of the Turkish Chamber of Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) on November 29 in Ankara. At the conference, which was also attended by Chamber of Physics Engineers of the Turkish Chamber of Engineers and Architects Ankara University Professor Abdullah Verçin, TOBB University of Economics and Technology Professor Ali Bozbey, Hacettepe University Professor Recai Ellialtioglu and President of Chamber of Physics Engineers of the Turkish Chamber of Engineers and Architects Abdullah Zararsiz, Qubitrium CEO Dr Kadir Durak gave a presentation titled “Cold Atom Physics,” highlighting the advantages offered by cold atom systems and their applications. Dr Durak noted that at temperatures close to absolute zero, the De Broglie wavelength of atoms enables them to exhibit quantum mechanical behavior. He listed their application areas as precision measurements, atomic clocks, quantum computing, inertial navigation systems, gravimeters, and quantum memory.  Drawing attention to the importance of inertial sensors in the global navigation satellite system trusted by the world, Dr Durak said, “A one-day interruption could cause approximately 500 million euros in economic damage to Turkey. Therefore, the importance of inertial navigation systems, which are sensitive to jamming, interference, and counterfeiting, is increasing.”
